anne 3What a week and a bit it’s been. Setting out to do this, I wanted to thank some of the fabulously supportive writers and authors I’ve met in this business. I could have done doubled that amount. There’s the wonderful Sharon Struth, Faith Ashlin, Jane Hunt–who gave Fury the most amazing review on her First Steps blog the other day– Nikki Dee Houston, Cat Cavendish, Charley Descoteaux, Aimmie Duffy, Susan Arden. Oh well, wait till the next release!

Anyway, I must say everyone’s pulled the stops out to ensure my new hero Lord Devorlane Hawley, is going to enjoy his homecoming, as you can see… giftrWhether he does or not, you can read here tomorrow when I share the first chapter with you, before it goes live on Amazon.

Today, after yesterday’s fun and games, https://shehannemoore.wordpress.com/2014/01/14/let-elyzabeth-entertain-you/ we have a final guest, so the actual program looks like invite7

You mighta guessed after Anne and I did that Naughty Days of Christmas bloghop, she’d be here somewhere.  So why not entertain the assembled company with a little speech AND a reading from her book Friends With Beneifts, released on Friday 17th January along with Lady Lazuli. Well, cause them all to collapse on the floor anyway! Firstly I gotta share this…  I heard about it yesterday and I was SO excited I was clog dancing. I must say a certain girl sure gets about….and not just in men’s’ pockets either…..

Loving Lady Lazuli gets a USA Today HEA blog pick up.

http://t.co/yueKzN5bvm

Now over to Anne…….

anne 2

Looking all set to party. Just needing Flint on the arm there Anne….Or maybe you have a new love…….And his name is Will–watch out Incy, she’s here and she’s relentless!anne 3

Now, Shehanne invited me to help plan this little recital of hers to welcome Devorlane Hawley home.  I know she’s trying very hard to keep poor Dev on the straight and narrow.  But the man has been away for ten long years.  He’s ready to PARTY!conv

There is some wonderful food planned, and I simply love Italian.

caprese_pizza_rounds_pichttp://shehannemoore.wordpress.com/2014/01/07/you-are-cordially-invited/

conv

https://shehannemoore.wordpress.com/2014/01/14/let-elyzabeth-entertain-you/

The music that’s been prepared is wonderful, Coming_Home

http://shehannemoore.wordpress.com/2014/01/09/having-met-the-family/‎and I so do love to dance.  Especially to those sultry songs, which are just divine for close-contact dancing.  So, I’m wondering what type of dancing Dev would be interested in…

conv

Or maybe

conv

Or perhaps.

conv

And I brought the wine, I wasn’t sure what he’d like, so I brought a few to choose from.

conv

Now, I understand, security is well in hand. They do need a competent security team to ensure the Sisterhood doesn’t steal everything but the kitchen sink.https://shehannemoore.wordpress.com/2014/01/10/when-security-is-at-stake-who-we-gonna-call/

convOMG. They’re already in the building. Incy!  Where are your men?  Where’s Marshall?  Quick Somebody tie the girl up.Blog of the Year Award 1 star jpeg

You, know, I have to admit, I was a tad disappointed Shehanne appeared worried I might get my hands on Dev and steal him away before girls got to him.  Really? She was worried about me and I wasn’t even here yet.

anne

Well, okay, I will admit, it was an option. I am all about keeping the guy safe after all. I wouldn’t want those sisters to get their grubby hands on him. But all that said, I already have my eyes on somebody else.  You see, I have an in with a member of the security team.

chhhh 027

Well, all of them really, but it’s Will I’d do (almost) anything for. I just love his eyes, and he loves my…well… that’s between us.

Now, I know Marshall doesn’t want Dev disappearing with a lady (or two). But I heard Dev say to him the other day here…

“They’re the downfall of all good man, me included. Not that I’m complaining. It’s a hell of a way to stumble. Spent. Satiated. One’s skin still aflame with the remnant press of soft thighs and teasing tongue—”

https://shehannemoore.wordpress.com/2014/01/10/when-security-is-at-stake-who-we-gonna-call/

So, I happen to have a couple interested in having somebody join them for the evening.  She could scratch his itch, he could help scratch hers? It would give Dev that little romp he’s looking for. I’m sure Marshall and his men can keep things secure while Dev is busy.  And what better way to welcome him home?  Personally, I think the poor man needs to let off a little steam.  I think it could take his mind off things, get him back into the swing of things after being away for so long.  What do you think?conv

Now the  Excerpt from Friends with Benefits for the benefit of the assembled guests….Warning, get the smelling salts out now, or don’t read further…..

conv

Angie sat cross-legged on the window settee. The brightness of the moon belied the late hour, pushing the shadows deep into the corners. The faint murmur of Tyler’s and Connor’s voices rose through the floorboards from the first level. She looked over at the rumpled bed sheets and then down at the journal lying open in her lap. She re-read her entry.

FriendswithBenefitsbyAnneLange_PrintMaster

We did it. I actually did it. How much must Tyler love me to have granted me this particular fantasy? Who knew my husband had a kinky side? And, even though he encouraged me to play with Connor over the weekend, which…WOW…tonight was different. Very different. Tonight the man I’m committed to watched another man make love to me. He helped another man make love to me. No jealousy. No competition. Only mutual excitement, sharing and exploring.

Honestly, it was a little weird at first. But, knowing Tyler trusted Connor made me feel secure. Though I guess I should have known he’d arranged the whole thing. I just didn’t think his surprise would include his best friend.

Oh, my. I can still feel their hands and their lips gliding over my body. The way they touched me, as if I were made of spun sugar. They kissed me. First their lips soft and sensual, and then demanding, scorching, as though they couldn’t get enough. I’ve never felt so alive, so beautiful, so treasured.

Few words were spoken. Few were needed.

“Let’s tie her up.” I’ll never look at Tyler’s silk ties the same way.

“Your skin is so soft, like flower petals.”

“You smell like vanilla, but you taste like some exotic brand of honey.”

They were so in tune to each other. Their hands guided me where and how they wanted me. All I could do was moan and sigh—until the end. Sometimes they took turns, sometimes they played with me together. At times it was almost too much. Having four hands or two tongues pleasuring me…my body hummed like a tuning fork. The energy they created…oh…I could almost feel the blood rushing hot and thick through my veins.

The blindfold hid them from me, and I so wanted to watch. But, I admit, I had no difficulty telling them apart. Their bodies are similar in build, but they are different in every other way.

The only thing that could have made it better would have been to feel both men inside me at the same time. Being sandwiched between two gorgeous men…that’s something I think many women fantasize about. I imagine my body would struggle to accommodate them, but in the end they would win. I think I’d forget to breathe.

My mouth’s watering as I write this. My body tingles. Should I be ashamed of how I feel? How will Tyler react now that it’s over? Was this a one-time event? How do I tell my husband I’m counting the hours until we can do it again?

Angela paused and raised her head when the bedroom door opened, and her husband walked in, a knowing smile on his handsome face.

conv

That’s it folks, it only remains for me to thank Anne for her friendship and dropping  into the recital when she’s so busy herself, to wish her mega sales with her new book….

And Dug brings you this ULTRA special piccie of herself

hansa-great-dane-dog-stuffed-animalimghsahsa1080_l

I said she would nab that hook as a paw. But the kilt? Well, blame Anne Lange yesterday. Sumexy men in kilts indeed. How did she go land one of the things I like to write about? (Hmmm. Perhaps cos I got to keep the sumexy pirate Flint? Naturally had I got 11 Kilted Kilties, I woulda had 11 pix of Callm up. Of course he wears a plaid. (Not very often when Kara’s around)

You are expecting something else no doubt? Like the last line of our song? Not to mention our sumexy cover reveals?

Oh all right…for this one day of the year, I will stop teasing…Line 12 of the song…my God I will never mix it up again..

12 Drummers drumming

conv

Sure there’s a few sumexy ones in there. Of course kilties drum. Just look at this pic of the City Of York Pipe Band. Yeah English but run by a Scot I believe. conv

They got a pile of drummers.

yo 008

Okay I am going to stop making Anne Lange wish she had never done this blog with me. AND show you today’s line…

It’s 12 Firemen…..( I don’t know it was a very wise thing to give me. Already I am sure you know who I am going to show….) hosing.

Fireman Sam

Here’s another four plus a tot.conv

Double the two pix and you’ve 12.

Oh…all right. Having got in that Hot Off with Nikki Dee Houston…here’s a few of hers… The line is Smokin’ Firemenconv

Anne has the full song. All 12 lines. All the Sumexy pix. Having wasted half this post blethering isn’t the only reason I’m asking you to pop over to hers to sing along. Just mind and come back.  Anne is the one who did all the hard work in terms of thinking this song up. Lazy-assed me? I came up with pirates and kilties.

I don’t know what pic she will have found but to quote author Emily Guido, it is sure to be ‘HAWT.’ http://authorannelange.com/2013/12/24/day-12-and-fwb-cover-reveal/

SO. In plenty time for our release date 17th January, it’s time to reveal things like Anne’s cover. TA-DAH…

Can a summer of sexual exploration, lead to an unconventional forever.

FriendswithBenefitsbyAnneLange_PrintMasterGorgeous Huh? Part of a series too.

It’s also time to reveal mine,  starting with the trailer, which shows the cover. As I said yesterday, as I flung this together during God knows what tiny hours of the morning, I have Incy Black to thank for keeping me right. AND sitting on the other end of the email with me as this *^£$)%*  binged back and forward, a bit like the ding dang dong on it.

But if you can’t wait to see the cover here it is…piece by piecelovela

OH OKAY…..

ALL HE WANTS FOR CHRISTMAS IS TO SEE HER DANGLE….

(Saying nothing. Of course I will change that tagline later to something like will this Christmas Eve be their absolute last?)

LovingLadyLazuli_ByShehanneMoore-PrintMaster

You know she’s kinda been under your noses for weeks! She’s also been sitting quietly on my website. http://shehannemooreweeblycom.weebly.com/‎

Personally, I love it. It’s modern for a historical but hey that’s in keeping with Etopia’s new look and also how I tend to write. I love my banner too. LovingLadyLazuli_ByShehanneMoore-Banner
I’ve waited a long time to have the kind of year I’ve had. I m just thrilled when  last Christmas Eve I didn’t have a book out. It’s been quite a journey and I’ve met some fabulous people.
Now you already know the blurb. But Anne and I agreed ..yeah, yeah yeah. And she is one of these fabulous people. So…
Only one man in England can identify her. Unfortunately he’s living next door.

Ten years ago sixteen year old Sapphire, the greatest jewel thief England has ever known, ruined Lord Devorlane Hawley’s life. Now she’s dead and buried, all the respectable widow, Cassidy Armstrong, wants is the chance to prove who she really is.

But not only does her new neighbor believe he knows that exactly, he’s hell-bent on revenge.  All he needs is the actual proof.  So when he asks her to choose between being his mistress, or dangling on the end of a rope, only Sapphire can decide…

What’s left for a woman with nowhere left to go, but to stay exactly where she is?

And hope, that when it comes to neighbors, Devorlane Hawley won’t prove to be the one from hell.

Merry Christmas to you all and may this Christmas Eve be anything but your absolute last! xxxxxxxxx

And ps….in case you didn’t catch it first time!!!!!

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas–buon giorno

img170Ciao a tutti e spero che si sono impressi con il mio italiano–Good eh? I got it  off Babylon translator. Me speak Italian? Me speak any language come to that? I once tried Danish when we were lost in the middle of nowhere somewhere in Denmark  It was so bad the guy asked if I spoke French instead. Sanglante joue.

I wouldn’t like to say I am a complete Denholm Elliot’s character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I am proficient at swearing and ordering a drink in every language going. The important things.

convc

So, today as you can see, it is an advent calendar day.

conte

Anne has the next line of our song  over on her blog.  OOH, we had sumexy pirates last time. I have to say, OMG! I would happily have done this next line too…especially given I don’t just write about pirates.

http://authorannelange.com/2013/12/23/eleventh-day-of-Christmas

Tomorrow…well, tomorrow we will be revealing certain covers. LOGOLOGO

It’s OKAY, I think I can get Kara to deal with Dug. IF she doesn’t hotfoot it to Anne’s blog today. Dug that is. Kara is too refined… Men in certain things do nothing for her whatsoever …ahem. It is very obvious when she first meets Callm.

I will also be revealing my book trailer.

conv

TA-DAH… special big thanks to Incy Black for helping me NOT have a nervous breakdown at 1 am in the morning, when she’d no heating. Oh..and prising the 12 Days of Christmas song and the crummy accompanying naff illustrations off of it.

Guesses anyone as to what carol I kept??? It’s today’s BIG question.

Talking Christmas, Lady Fury has a special visitor on her blog conv

Yes…Ranting Crow, sharing not only some very questionable Dear Santa letters we must hope authors Antonia Van Zandt and Noelle Clark don’t see… Ranting didn’t write them, the pirates did. But Ranting does have that recipe for Dutch Apple Pie.

conv

http://furiousunravelings.wordpress.com/2013/12/21/ive-written-a-letter-to-santa/

Plus some fabulous pics of cocktail cup cakes.  Gorgeous all of it. What, or rather who I have today by way of something different again is  Pic_3a_Pietro

Pietro Lombardi, hero of Noelle Clark’s lovely new book, Rosamanti set in Capri in Italy–what do you think I was speaking Italian for? The good of my health and the badness of everyone else’s?  Being as Pietro’s also a chef, do sit back. We are not only in for a special treat if you haven’t got the Christmas dinner sorted, look no further.

conv

Buon giorno. My name is Pietro Lombardi and I am the owner and chef at Alberto’s. This Christmas will be our first, and my wife – Sarah – and I are looking forward to welcoming our family and friends to our restaurant for a traditional Caprese meal.

A lot has happened this year. I met the love of my life quite by chance, when she came to Capri from Australia, to stay at Villa Rosamanti – my Nonna’s villa, set high up on the cape near the ruins of Villa Jovis.

Christmas on the island of Capri is glorious. There are very few tourists, the weather is quite cool, and it rains a lot. The local Caprese people take this opportunity to meet up with family and friends, and enjoy the peace and quiet of our island.Pic_2 (1)

Pic_3There are many Christmas traditions here that my wife does not know. She comes from Australia, where Christmas is celebrated at the height of summer. She loves to come on la passeggiata with me around Capri, and especially at Christmas when la piazzetta is all lit up. Children gather in the towns and recite poems, and sing traditional Christmas songs. The children here have to wait until Epiphany – January 6th – to open their presents, which are delivered by ‘Befana’, a kind, ugly witch who rides on a broomstick.conv

If you have read the book (Rosamanti), then you will know the history of Alberto’s. So, to honor my Nonna, our menu for Christmas dinner will be traditional Caprese fare, made entirely from ingredients from our very own land at Rosamanti. We do hope you will join Sarah and I, Therese and Bruno, our brave little friend Carlo, and of course Zia Maria, as we celebrate Christmas on my Island of Capri.

Buon Natale from Pietro and Sarah. Ciao.  Now the Menu!  conv

Ravioli Caprese style

Pic_7

Filling Ingredients: 1/3  cup of ricotta cheese, 1 slice of mozzarella cheese, 1 table spoon of grated parmesan cheese, basil.

Preparation: To obtain the filling for our exquisite ravioli, mix together through a food processor ricotta cheese, mozzarella, basil, a handful of grated parmesan minimum one hour in advance and leave the mixture in the refrigerator. In the main time prepare the dough. N.B. It is advisable to buy all cheeses the previous day and keep them in the refrigerator.

Pasta Ingredients: 1 cup of regular white flour, ¼  cup of water, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, Italian pinch of sea salt.

Preparation: Place the flour on the work top and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, the egg and a pinch of salt. Use a fork to incorporate the flour, adding the water a little at a time. Cover with flour and pat down by hand. Knead until a smooth dough is obtained. Divide the dough into two parts. Take one half of the roll and roll until a thin base is obtained. Add flour to keep from sticking to surface and rolling up, but do not over – work this dough. Brush off excess flour from both sides of base. Brush the top of base with beaten egg. Place teaspoonfuls of the filling at a regular intervals on the base (you can also do little balls). Filling should be 2 finger – widths apart. Roll out the other half of the dough and place over the base. Cut out the ravioli using a ravioli cutters, smaller one to press, larger one to cut.

To cook: Place the ravioli in a pan of boiling salted water. After few minutes the ravioli will rise to the surface. Using a skimming ladle, remove the ravioli and add to the previously prepared tomato sauce. Sprinkle generously with grated parmesan and fresh basil and the dish is ready.

OF COURSE we can’t just have Pietro here. We need to find out more.

Fate drew her to Rosamanti. Love made her stay…conv

After the death of her husband, best-selling mystery author Sarah Halliman has lost her desire for just about everything. Desperate to break out of her funk and rediscover herself, she answers a newspaper advertisement—For lease: Isolated villa on Capri, Italy. Must love cats. Traveling alone to the beautiful island of Capri, she locates Villa Rosamanti, a gorgeous 400-year-old dwelling nestled in the hillside of Monte Tiberio. Above it lies Villa Jovis, the 2000-year-old villa of Emperor Tiberius, ripe with history and intrigue.

Sarah soon discovers a strong resonance with Rosamanti and its gardens and quirky pets. She begins to feel a deep connection to Elena Lombardi, the deceased owner. But it’s not just the villa Sarah’s fallen in love with. Elena’s grandson, Pietro, is handsome and charming, the epitome of the passionate Italian. His dream is to own a restaurant of his own, but such dreams are for wealthier men.

Between the sparks that Pietro kindles in Sarah’s heart—and her kitchen—and the mystery of nearby Villa Jovis, Sarah’s muse begins to stir. She senses stories in the ancient stones, and romance in the phosphorescent blue waters of the Blue Grotto. But when her curiosity takes her to Elena’s library, a child’s notes and maps lead Sarah to a mystery that could be the answer to everyone’s prayers—or perhaps, be the destruction of everything they hold dear…

Anne Lange, Christmas, Christmas Day, Etopoa Press, Friends With Benefits, Hawaii, India, Loving Lady Lazuli, Shehanne Moore

LOGOLook, please don’t blame me. Blame the dug. I don’t want to ask Callm to take her in about any more than I want to rescue our banner. When it comes to carols, I am hoping to play a few at Christmas. Maybe even the 12 Days. To do that I need both hands. Already Dug’s eaten

3 pine cones, conv

two fancy ribbonsconv

a-and half a tre-eh-eh branch.

conv

As for Callm…well, I  can’t recall off the top of my head what the body count in His Judas Bride was, but I would like to see Christmas Day, although I am sure his skills with a knife might prove useful for cutting some of my baking…. conv

Do you know I had to move last night’s special meal from India to Hawaii, after I mistook the ginger jar for the curry one? Mr Shey was, of course, very understanding about it, although it was not to say that he ate it.

Anyway, I stagger up to day ten on Anne Lange and my Naughty Twelve Days of Christmas cover reveal and giveaway.LOGO

A bit like Dug is trying to be. Which one of you said she was adorable? Stand up now so I can smack you senseless.

LOGO

I mean we can imagine it, can’t we?  The cover reveal?

LOGO

So, the tenth day of Christmas…..

Well, I am very excited to be doing this one, not to mention surprised Anne let this slip past her. And I am excited for two reasons.

One, the song says conv

10 Lords  a’Leaping… More of in a mo. As you can see here, some of them are even

convPirates….  Today’s line from our reworking. 10 smexy pirates. You think they can’t be? That they go about looking like this… conv

saying, ‘Arrrrrr, Jim lad’ and ‘shiver me timbers’? Wearing……….this kind of thingconv

not to mention waving this….(maybe Dug shouldn’t see this. She is minus a paw after all.)

convOr worse…. Wear enough mascara to resemble Cher.

conv

With a moustache of course.

Well, to quote Lady Fury…’Not at all.’ She has Captain Flint after all, her bad boy privateer,  who is so sumexy she makes rules to keep him at bay, knowing just what he’s capable of.  Why, she won’t even let him take his clothes off. So pirates?  Oh yes.

But lords…? Well, my new hero, Devorlane Hawley is a lord. (He’s… ahem… a lot of things actually.) And he’s very good at leaping in and out of lady’s beds. He would be better at actual proper leaping if he his thigh hadn’t been shattered at the battle of Corunna–something he lays at Sapphire’s door. SO, today’s tidbit? Here’s one card Dug is NOT getting to show. conv

Not a very good recital by the looks of it.

‘To manage through the first line with Devorlane Hawley’s openly devpooosscontemptuous stare burning holes in her, and Belle’s vaulting soprano bawling in her ears was going to be a miracle that ranked with some of that same God’s finest. And she didn’t manage it. The opening bar…Lord, what was that twang? That screech too?

“I woulds’t but fly all day. Fl-ah-ah-ah-eye away.”

Belle’s screech soared to the rafters as if she were going to follow by sprouting wings, to the horror of the assembled multitude, and fly about the beams—lovely but worth sod all except for firewood

Devorlane Hawley’s twisted, furrowed brow suggested his agony. saffffffffuuWhether it was due to Belle’s caterwauling, or her  own appalling efforts at accompaniment, or the wound he’d suffered in the Peninsular, or the choice of this particular song for his home coming, or the fact he’d come home at all, or all five for that matter, was hard to divine. But she very much wanted to get up and run.’

Remember to pop over to Anne’s blog . http://authorannelange.com/2013/12/20/some-xmas-classics/
I’ll be back on Monday with a special post from Noelle Clark.

(hmmmm …clock the green to the left there)

…..Or dig a hole in the ground and hibernate. Your friends won’t disturb you ‘cos they won’t know you’re there, and you’ll be using your own body heat rather than that expensive and probably polluting electricity from the national grid.

conv

( But can we play Harry and Sally charades???)

Failing this radical and rather non-festive idea, my suggestion is to try reuse and recycling. How about vases made from fire extinguishers? conv ll

(saying nothing except Peter was brave to come on here)

plates made from flattened wine bottles…

conv

(a few I..uh.. sat me  ass on earlier.  Largely cos this is getting like an alternative 12 days of Christmas)

Belts made from bike tyres, wallets from strips of fire hose? And if you’re really posh, try upcycled presents, like an ipad case stitched from a mail sack, gold leaf tumblers from beer bottles, bangles and necklaces fashioned from unwanted cutlery.

conv

(My god…my new heroine wouldn’t just have fashioned these..  she’d have stuck them on you and wrecked your life.)

There are a number of companies that sell these products, like www.uncommongoods.com  in the US and www.treehugger.com  and www.nigelsecostore.com  in the UK.

All these items look good, they’re interesting, and they’re more sustainable than the mountains of battery powered plastic junk that will be lining the shelves of your shopping centre. And talking of batteries…conv

( Saying nothing re the other day only   Peter is really brave. AND he  has a great new book out.)

…..why not buy stuff like squeezy or windup torches instead of adding to the pile of little metal cylinders leaking acid into our soil? Buying organic is good (fewer chemicals) but preferably don’t buy from companies too far away.

If you want to be really really green, what about going to a class that teaches you reuse and upcycling skills, then you can amaze your friends and rellies every year with the presents you personally made for them. There’s an organisation called Skillshare in the US and the UK which does exactly this.  For example, my local skillshare is http://www.skillsharedundee.org/.

Finally, here’s the big eco-Christmas conundrum: is it better to use a plastic Christmas tree year after year, or buy a real one every Yuletide?  I’m really not sure about this. Maybe Santa or one of his helpers will know. images

(We know who they are don’t we?)

I’ll listen out for the sleighbells as I munch my way through that organic locally produced mince pie served on a shiny platter made from the champagne bottle I’ve just drunk. Merry Christmas everyone!

…………………….. So there we have it for today, except to say, ANY guy brave enough to step on this blog right now  AND Lady Fury’s, deserves not just a special thank you AND a gold medal. He deserves to show off his new book.

conv

BLURB .

The Year is 2050. Technology is dead. So are their plans.

Cli-Fidelity is a nuclear reactor with a difference – he’s underwater, tethered to the sea bed. He’s performed so well that the French government holds a special top-level conference to celebrate his twentieth birthday. But when Zeta Solek is invited on a promotional visit, she gets more than she bargained for, certainly not the group photo and commemorative DVD.

Her sister Dayna, a medical student on placement at Guy’s Hospital London, also finds her life turned upside down, but in a very different way. She’d been hoping to meet up with her boyfriend Marc, but an overnight stay in the Tower, a sturdy skyscraper  attached to the hospital, puts paid to all her plans.

Thrown into this mix is Jules, a nuclear scientist with a curious obsession. He may be a scientist, but he has more than particle physics on his mind.

Set in 2050, Cli-Fidelity is the sequel to 500 Parts Per Million, although the story can be read independently. It’s a tale of climate instability, a world where four people try to survive whatever the extreme weather throws at them. Prepare for a bumpy ride.

AHHHHHH. It’s that logo again…. The one that inspired me to find some new positions conv

and show you a piece of my Loving Lady Lazuli cover two days ago.

lovela

To mix up what day it was yesterday. (Keeping a low profile on that one. Attention to detail was never one of my finer points.)  But what I can tell you is that yesterday Anne added another line of the song. Another that leaves me having to resort to cheap scene-stealing tricks. (One of my not so fine points) to showing you another piece of my cover…. convYes. Toys, was what Anne showed you yesterday in our down to Christmas Eve cover reveals, for our new books  — Book Titles

coming soon from http://etopia-press.net/

There were rabbits there.conv

convAlthough I don’t know Anne’s were the kind Alice followed into Wonderland. Mind you maybe she did? maybe that’s why it’s called that. Anyway, I digress. Today is the eight day, Anne is of course showing you what we’ve got so far and sharing something Christmassy over here,

http://authorannelange.wordpress.com/2013/12/18/white-christmas/

I am  as usual following her suggestions and instructions to the letter.

The song says 8 maids a’milking.conv

I am saying nothing re these blow up dolls ok. What I would say is that if my true love filled the house with all this junk on daily basis, I’d be  joining online dating.

Also put the boot on the other foot. You get some sexy milkmaids you know. Ladies, send eight of her to your partner,

conv

be your partner male or female, you could be asking for trouble.

So what has Anne come up with? (Do you like how I blame her for all this naughtiness)…. Eight  Smexy Santas….sexy_santa

Hmmm. I am saying nothing about Decking or Halls.

I am going back to the maids a’milking for today’s tidbit from Loving Lady Lazuli. Let me introduce you to members of the Starkadder Sisterhood. The Jewel Thieves of London. Eight  maids a nicking. Each one a precious jewel in their own right. Each one owned and trained by the late  Nicodemus Starkadder. Each one now cast on fortune’s trading and changing winds….

             Jade

in a fist fight, she’d  win hands down.

Diamond

Every newspaper in London applauded her actions.

Splendor

Little Miss Do it all.

Yes. It’s an advent calendar day, which means for the next line of the song you need to pop over to Anne’s

http://authorannelange.com/2013/12/17/seventh-day-of-christmas/

to find out what she is going to come up with next that I am going to have to follow on our

Book Titles

Naughty 12 Days of Christmas cover reveal and giveaway event. In the song it’s swimming swans.conv

Goodness, look at this romantic pair. conv

I admit to certain trepidation and the feeling I may have to resort to more cheap tricks! Like another piece of cover.

Anyway, as if I am not resorting to enough, blog hop here, nervous breakdown there, I’m visiting with a fabulous writer pal, Sharon Struth today, http://sharonstruth.wordpress.com/2013/12/17/three-reasons-why-you-should-read-his-judas-bride-by-shehanne-moore/

talking not Lady Lazuli but three of my favorite  scenes from His Judas Bride. Naturally they involved the Wolf. Oooh-hooh. nolllllllll

But I behaved. Okay? I mean I can now and again. Look, I don’t want the song going, ‘On THE Day of Christmas Santa gave to me.. a great fat lu-ump of coal.’ So I never said when it came to why you should read it, cos he’s a hunk, cos he’s sumexy cos he’s good in bed. I felt like it but I never.

Shaz made a lovely image of Dug from the book…hansa-great-dane-dog-stuffed-animalimghsahsa1080_l

I stuck the hat and bauble on. I don’t know Dug would like it but…

What treat is in store in the advent calendar?  SO far we’ve had, three specially written horror flashes from three fabulous horror writers, Cat Cavendish, Julia Kavan and Steve Emmett,  an interview with the wonderful NY musician, Tali ‘Icepack’ Jackson sharing stories of playing with Bob Dylan to name but one, the lovely author, Rhonda Laurel with her Christmas stocking hopes, AND the equally lovely, Elyzabeth M. Valey, another fabulous author, telling us about Spanish, Cuban, American Christmas traditions .

Recipes

And not just any old recipes…TWO special sumexy sets from two special sumexy people in two special places…

So let’s hear it firstly for the lovely Antonia Van Zandt, author of Seducing Amanda….a most erotic Christmas tale…..as you can see….SeducingAmanda_ByAntoniaVanZandt-200x300

Shehanne has asked me to come up with a couple of traditional Austrian recipes. The sort of food that would have soothed the troubled Amanda (Seducing Amanda) had she lived in Vienna rather than England. Actually, Shehanne didn’t used the word ‘soothed’, she used the words ‘made her hot’. (Shehanne…Moi?)

OK, let’s go for it.conv

To understand the many traditions that combine to create Austrian cuisine, you need to remember that this country was once a mighty Empire. A Dual Monarchy (with Hungary) ruled over by an autocratic Emperor, the most senior member of the Hapsburg family.

conv

(Sorry just thought I would show that other Austrian family)

The First World War changed all that, and shrank the country to a fraction of its imperial size, but didn’t stop Austrians continuing to enjoy food that had its origins in all corners of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. As a result, you’ll find dishes from, what is now, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, parts of modern day Poland, Slovenia and even northern Italy all incorporated on restaurant menus and on dining tables all over the country.conv

Austrians love their food and are a great meat-eating nation. But they also love their wonderful, cream laden desserts too.

Today, I’m going to give you a traditional main dish and a naughty pudding.

Wiener SchnitzelWiener_Schnitzel

Couldn’t be more Viennese, could it? Not with a name like that. Actually, this is another hark back to the days of Empire and is not even Austrian in origin. It is reputed to have found its way to Milan courtesy of the troops of Charles V of Spain (who abdicated in 1556), where it became known as Costolleta alla Milanese. In the mid nineteenth century, it became a great favourite of Field Marshall Radetzky who came across it during the Italian campaign of 1848. He praised it to Austria’s Emperor, Franz Josef, who immediately ordered that the palace chefs be taught how to make it. The rest, as they say, is history.

Traditionally, the schnitzel is made from veal but, these days, many chefs use pork loin. When ordering in Viennese restaurants, you will frequently be asked, ,Kalb oder Schwein?’ (Veal or pork?). Whatever your preference, it is usual to serve Schnitzel with Kartoffelsalat (potato salad).

To serve four, you will need:

4 lean pork loin chops

1 egg

flour for dredging

fine breadcrumbs (enough to coat all four escalopes)

salt

oil for frying

3 bowls

I frying pan/skillet

1. Place loin chops between sheets of waxed paper and roll out (or use tenderiser mallet) to reduce thickness of chops to escalopes of approx. one eighth of an inch. Sprinkle each fillet lightly with salt

2. In one bowl, put the flour; in the next, the beaten egg, and in the third bowl, put the breadcumbs

3. Dip each escalope firstly into the flour, then the egg, then the breadcrumbs and ensure they are coated thoroughly and evenly.

4. Heat the oil in the pan (medium heat) and fry, turning when browned, for around 3 minutes each side.

5. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and potato salad (here’s a tasty recipe http://lakelurecottagekitchen.com/2013/01/17/austrian-potato-salad/)

Now for that deliciously wicked pudding. Guaranteed to turn a saint into a sinner with one mouthful:

heisse-liebe

Heisse Liebe (Hot Love)

– per portion

2-3 scoops of best quality vanilla ice cream

3 tablespoons raspberries

half teaspoon sugar (or to taste)

4 fl. oz. (125ml) water

whipped cream

1. Put fruit, water and sugar in a small saucepan and heat gently until raspberries are hot, but not boiling. Don’t allow raspberries to turn to mush.

2.  Scoop ice cream into chilled glasses. Pour hot raspberry mixture over. Decorate with whipped cream (you can add a wafer and/or fresh mint if preferred.

3. Serve immediately before the ice cream melts.

Orgasmus!

Enjoy your meal. Or, as we say in Austria:

Mahlzeit!

…………………You too Antonia. I don’t know about anyone else BUT I am making that one for Christmas Dinner.

Seducing Amanda is available here:
Amazon.com   Amazon.co.uk    Barnes and Noble All Romance Books Kobo.

Let’s have the blurb followed by our next set of sumexy Christmas  recipes……

A lonely girl, a haunted house, and a ghostly passion from the past.

Escaping from a disastrous marriage, Amanda Dalton seeks a chance to  heal her troubled mind at Dalton Manor, the rambling Victorian mansion  recently inherited from her aunt. Her new home seems the perfect place  to recuperate, but the house has a secret or two of its own. A  mysterious couple comes to call–a beautiful man and woman who share  their passion and encourage Amanda to explore her deepest sexual  fantasies. But who are they? Where have they come from? Why won’t they  tell her their names?

When Amanda discovers she is not the first to enjoy a ménage a troi  with the couple, she’s drawn in ever deeper. She combs the house for  clues to their identity, her desire to learn the truth becoming an  obsession. But her work proves fruitless. With Christmas coming, Amanda  knows she will soon have to make a decision–one that will determine the rest of her life. The snow is falling as she sips her wine. In the  corner of her room, the lights twinkle on the Christmas tree near the  fire. All is still and quiet. Until there’s a knock at the door…

Oohhhh. So, who is my next guest? And where are they from? Well, it is none other than Ranting Crow, a top commenter here and also a fabulous writer, I hope to see in print. Although one recipe combines with another, Ranting has three recipes all told, but one  is specially for Lady Fury  And, knowing what she’s like I think we’ll let her have that one first…..

Ranting has winged his way from Holland with a special recipe for Crumpets…..which we all know what that word can also mean…

conv

Breakfast crumpets

A delicious idea for a Christmas breakfast. Yes it is the Crow here keeping his word and giving you this recipe to try!

  • 580 ml milk
  • 360 gram flour (around 12 ounce)
  • 1,5 tsp dried Yeast 1/8 oz 5 grams
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Sunflower oil or any vegetable oil for   cooking
  • 1 tbsp butter (not needed but love the  flavour)

conv

Depending on the rings used. I used 4inch or 10cm you have about 8-12  I do not use water as a normal recipe would do. If the batter is a bit to stiff slowly add a little water to make it less dense.

Heat the milk to be a bit warmed but not to warm, NOT boiling. Mix up the dry ingredients. Flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in the milk with the dry ingredients to a nice slow flowing batter. If you feel it is a little to thick add a little water. Leave covered with shrink foil for about 30-60 minutes. Giving the yeast time to do its magic together with the baking powder. If all went well you still have a nice thick yet slow running batter.

Heat a small amount of oil  and butter in a frying pan and with some rings (used for baking eggs) to keep the batter together. Fill half a ring with the batter. In about 6 minutes you see air holes appear and batter is nice and firmed up. Take away the rings and turn. For another 4 minutes. Keep them coming till batter is gone.

Marinated Salmonconv

Have a nice piece of salmon no skin. Sprinkle some salt over the salmon. Put on the mustard and spread even Depending on your size a tablespoon should do on a piece of roughly 500 grams or 1 pound. Chop up the dill nice and fine and sprinkle over the mustard covered salmon.. Lay salmon on plate and cover with foil. Press nicely against the salmon till snug. Put to bed for about 6 hours in refrigerator with a plate on top upside down. Easy to be made the evening before.
Take out the salmon and slice thin slices to drape over a crumpet with a little touch of dill. Grind some sea salt and pepper to finish it.

Also nice with a preserves/comfiture of pears they are so nice this time a year that it fit Christmas very nicely. 3 nice ripe pears hand size. Peel and diced in a 100ml Applejuice, it is just about enough. At a table spoon of sugar on a half high fire and boil for about 10 minutes.

Or grilled ham with a little bit of honey and chives. Just a big sliced ham folded two times, grilled in pan and when gas if off drip over some honey and the chopped chives.

…………………..So there we go. It only remains for me to say thank you Antonia and Ranting for sorting the Christmas breakfast and dinner.

Oh and a very late addition here ..an added extra has just come in!! GO check it out. http://rantingcrow.wordpress.com/2013/12/23/champagne-parfait/

sally

Five of them. The lovely Noelle Clark was concerned that we might not be able to fit the words to the tune. But it’s not Five Harry met Sallys…

It’s five…look, I am sure Anne meant the drink. convI mean, I hope Anne realizes the trouble I have had trying to find stock photo images here. And of course Anne and I have sung the song through. And we got it to fit perfectly. We just took our time.

conv

So there is no reason for our lovely Noelle not to sing it specially for everyone.

As for following that….. There is only one way I can. That is by showing you all a piece of my cover. Here it is. Ta-Dah…

lovela

(Sprinkles glitter dust)

Now then, mine is the sixth day and on the sixth day the actual song says….

Six–just let me make sure I spelt that correctly, these three letter words beginning in s and ending in x are hard.  Six geese a-laying.

I don’t know that needed to be changed. I have a hero who will lay anything….. No not eggs.  It just must be my mind is so grimy that …well…

          New Positions

conv

                     The Mile High club…not…

conv

the It was this size honey.

  Oh, all right…

conv

A Special Pre Release Anne Lange and Shehanne Giveaway

Yep, it’s that banner again. SO-

Welcome to Day 4 of the Anne and Shehanne giveaway

…and more besides..

where we’re re-inventing the lyrics to a certain fabulous Christmas song and putting our own sexy twist on it in honor of the cover reveals for our same day upcoming releases from Etopia Press. Ooh-hooco

Between times we’re posting other Christmas things…As you can see with Anne’s blog today

http://authorannelange.com/2013/12/12/o-holy-night/

Returning to the song, yesterday Anne did line 3. Very, very smexily too.

http://authorannelange.com/2013/12/11/third-day-of-christmas/

So smexily I have to show it….

The Twelve Naughty Days of Christmas…

One the third day of Christmas, our true love gave to us…

Three French kisses,

French Kisses

Kiss Two lace stockings,

red stockings

And a brand new pretty red thong.

Red thong

Today, I have line four….
In the actual song that’s four calling birds
conv

Well they are, aren’t they?  At least that one at the head of the line is. Of course maybe you were thinking this…conv

What are they saying?conv

It could be some real sexy calling birds…..

conv

But our song isn’t crude like that. Our song is worse. And today what our true love gave us are four red silk ties……..

Yes. Now…clearing the throat here after  Day 2’s extract involving bedrails and things led to you ignore my request for your fav song and come up with suggestions as to what was going to happen next instead. I mean ..heavens I don’t want you all thinking I have a thing for bedrails and ties…..just because a few sentences later, it says….

“So don’t be coy,” she whispered. “Or I’ll have to tie your ankles as well.”

“Is that so, Miss Armstrong?”

“Cassidy. You should call me it.”

But do feel free to let your imaginations run wild as to what happens next. You can see constraint does somewhat feature…..

more reddddddd

To enter the giveaway it’s all you need to do–leave a comment.  Also….do please help me welcome my special guest today, debut author and all round nice girl, Jane Hunt, who does a ton of work for other people. Jane is here today as part of a blog tour, which I signed up for before Anne and I got going. So that is why there be dragons here today too. No. Not Jane..her book. On the very first stop of her tour too!

Actually, I thought it was Jane, but it’s not, it’s her heroine….  Fleur, from The Dragon Legacy, just released by Crimson Frost Books. AND there’s a giveaway. Yes! The link is below at the end of the post. A piccie of some of the prizes too….

conv

Oops…sorry….wrong one. Jane’s not giving away them. Are you kidding? She’s keeping every one.

conv

Fleur:  It’s lovely to be here Shehanne.

Shey. Oh. that’s what they all say to start with. A pity I hadn’t know YOU were coming along, we could have brought out the hot seat and put Jane in it, so you could grill her.  But you’re up for a few questions are you?

Fleur :Ask away…

Shey.  What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Fleur : I recently hid in a dark creepy cave even though I hate confined spaces.conv

Shey : Hmmm. I have a hero does that.  So you’re impulsive?

Fleur. I never used to be. More timid, afraid to make any decisions on my own but meeting Lukas changed me. So did the world he exposed me to. I’ve a strong survival instinct now and will do what it takes to cheat death.

Shey : Sounds like you’ve had a wild adventure can you tell us about it?

Fleur : Well I never expected a murder mystery event to be so surreal. Forget ‘Professor Plumb’ and’ Colonel Mustard’

conv

(He did it with his moustache)

and meet Lukas Draco and Xavier Serpente.

Shey . Lukas? Hmmmm. Xavier…So are they as hot as they sound?

conv

(Or maybe it was with that yellow playing piece? Could be nasty.)

Fleur . Mmm and some, in ways you couldn’t imagine.

Shey.  Intriguing you would think that…

Fleur.  Xavier isn’t my type too smooth. I like a man to have rough edges to hold my interest. Lukas is different he has a wildness which attracts me…

‘His face was the epitome of masculine beauty, characterized by well-defined angular cheekbones, covered with pale, almost translucent skin. Its apparent delicacy did not detract from his masculinity; he looked like a fallen angel.’

Shey… OOOH……..Sumexy. I’m glad we’re not talking about Colonel Mustard.conv

(My god, I know he said the rope…but….)

Fleur (blushes,) I’ve probably said too much…

Shey. No you haven’t said enough. So was it Love or Lust when you first met Lukas?

Fleur.   Neither Lukas frightened me; a passionate stranger who threatened my heart. I wanted to run but I kept turning round to make sure he was following you know what I mean?

Shey . I really can’t imagine (Winks) Do you believe in ‘Happy Ever After?….With a man like this??????

Fleur . I want to. Don’t we all if we’re honest.conv

Blurb

‘When emotionally fragile Fleur Curwen decides she wants excitement in her boring life she signs up for a Murder Mystery Weekend in the wilds of the English Lake District. She enters a paranormal world where
danger and death are common occurrences.

Demon slayer Lukas Draco is a loner. He lives by two simple rules: No
emotional entanglements and duty must remain his first priority. His
beliefs are challenged when he’s inexplicably drawn to Fleur, a human
woman with an unusual psychic aura. Sparks of sexual attraction ignite
threatening both his search for the dragon’s egg he buried a thousand years ago and Fleur’s life. Under the cover of a murder mystery weekend an apocalyptic hunt begins’

A Special Pre Release Anne Lange and Shehanne Giveaway

Now, we all know what this is, don’t we? This logo means just what it says. Whereas a nice Christmas pic… Like this….

Or this….

convCLUNK!!!!!!

Means another one of my lovely Advent Calendar guests. We’ve had four so far all told, counting Cat, Julia and Steve, horror writers extraordinaire,  individually.

Today…well, you can see what today is, the second line of the 12 Days of Christmas  which started yesterday over on Anne Lange’s blog-

 http://authorannelange.com/2013/12/09/first-day-of-christmas/

and which I introduced here too. https://shehannemoore.wordpress.com/2013/12/09/on-the-first-day-of-christmas/

Since we’re both sharing the same release date courtesy of the just revamped Etopia Press. Anne with the Rush imprint, me with Raw Silk. Just click the pic if you want to see some of the fab books or the submission guidelines.

So, the second day of Christmas our true loves gave to us… We know the song says Turtle Doves. turtel

emblems of devoted love, before any of you start thinking  handy for the Christmas table.

A migratory species with a southern Palearctic range, also known as the European Turtle Dove. Will I stop boring on for turtle doves now and show you what Anne and I came up with? Yes…….

conv

Yes. Lace stockings. Anne mainly since I was a bit busy.

Oh all right. I’ll behave now… Or rather….NOT.red_stockings

Look…. Anne picked this pic.

What have stockings to do with Loving Lady Lazuli? Apart from the fat the top pair are more what she might wear to put the hero off……? Why, the little tidbit I want to share today..

Here’s two tiny tasters, one for each leg.

“Let go of my stockings, Ruby.” Cass continued folding them. “And stop arguing. I don’t have time. The carriage will be here soon. I’ve made up my mind. Anyway he has things I want.”

She meant the papers of course.

……………………………………….

“Miss Armstrong…”

“Yes, Lord Hawley.”

“What do you think you’re doing?”

What did he think she was doing? With his wrist, a piece of stocking, and the bedrail? What did it look like for goodness sake? That she was practicing her embroidery?

“I’m making you comfortable. My way.”

……..copyright Shehanne Moore. Etopia Press

So what do you think she was doing? Telling  I could ask you to leave an answer in the comments section to enter the giveaway but the answer might surprise you. Instead I’m doing as Anne did and asking you to tell me your fav Christmas song or carol.

rmblings4There’s no prizes for it being ours, but there is an ecopy of Loving Lady Lazuli, (not available till 17th Jan.) And a cover keyring for a randomly drawn commenter.  Anne has goodies too over on her blog.
