AND BY HER TOO
Hi, I’m happy to be here today. Hi Dudes, it’s good to finally meet you all.
Wolfe Manor began as an exercise on “showing not telling”, however as is always the case it blossomed into a horror awakening tale of Fianna and the others who called Wolfe Manor home.

I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, dyspraxia, functional neurology disease, and am on the autistic scale. The reason I’m including this information is that it had a lot to do with the development of Fianna and the story.

Change is annoying, I know most people will agree with me but change to someone like me is a nightmare. Confusion, anxiety, and their friends visit and overstay their welcome.

I placed Fianna in her secure life in her secure home, Wolfe Manor. Then threw her a curve ball introducing change in the first chapter by introducing Miriam with her hippy hat and witchy vibes. From there things just got worse for Fianna until she is forced to face her fears and do battle with them.
Did I base Fianna on myself? Well, no. I am lucky enough not to have to battle demons or live in a private school hundreds of years old.

Yet, I have had to battle all through my life against situations, people who have hurt and betrayed me and the loss of family. So, I guess I was writing Fianna from experience to a certain degree.

Wolfe Manor took a long, long time to come to fruition. When Black Wolfe Books were gracious enough to take me on, there were many re-writes, days, and nights spent going over the manuscript. My wife helped so much, reading the whole manuscript several times, and picking out not only spelling or grammar but whole scenes that didn’t make sense.
I am proud of the finished product and happy to see others enjoy the story and wish for more.
Is there vodka in the story? No but there is plenty of tea drunk.
Speaking of which, the character of Mr Smith, came with a fully realised back story and way of talking that resembles a certain British actor who is well known for playing fantastic gangster characters. Can you guess who it is?

Once she lived a normal life, a good, boring life, but a safe one…
Abandoned as a baby on the steps of Wolfe Manor, Fianna was raised with love, secure inside its walls. Now her bubble of safety is about to burst. Can she save the home and school which once cocooned her when old fears overwhelm? Facing students at the start of a new term is frightening enough without nightmares resurfacing which terrify Fianna.
She may have a degree in teaching but will this skill help her?
The return of old friends sends Fianna spiraling down the rabbit hole of her past. Wolfe Manor may call her to be what she was born to be, but can she find out in time to save it from an evil only she can defeat? Or if she fails and Wolfe Manor falls, what happens when the evil faces humanity unchallenged?

May I say I got a right look at your new site . When it comes up in my reader I think it still goes under construction when I click it. I must say this post looks fab there. TRULY. So thank you so much. And it is great to see you back.
I love that you had DUDES included !!!! I must save the image for the enxt post. x
Great post. “Wolfe Manor” sounds like and interesting read. However, like the Dudes, I’m scared of the big bad wolf, and it seems like it might be a scary story indeed. BTW I love the take on the wolf eating the gingerbread house after blowing it down. It seems right “Manorly” of the big bad Wolfe.
Yeah, the dudes have had a thing about wolves since they met my hero of His Judas Bride, The Black WOLF leader of the Brotherhood of WOLVES. Their little hamsterly hearts sink at the mention of the word WOLF now, which is why I said it a few times there…. . Adele’s book is set in a boarding school and yes there are goings on as it goes down to a fight between good and evil and where old, old powers are to be protected. Great to see you.
We have a wolf sanctuary in New Mexico. Shhh. Do tell the dudes.
Oh i’d love that. i like wolves. They are highly intelligent creatures. There’s a couple here in the wildlife centre at Camperdown Park. We took the oldest grandie once and he asked why one was staring. I said, ‘ Cos it’s wondering what we are doing in a cage.”
This book looks and sounds amazing. Thank you for a wonderful introduction, I’m compelled to add this to my ever growing stack of fabulous reading! Dear Shey and friends ( who make me laugh myself silly and that ain’t good cause I broke my rib 🥲). Adele Marie Park, it’s so nice to meet you, congratulations! I’m wishing you enormous success. Have a great day and thank you again Shey and Adele and Hammies. xxxx
Oh my darling, I broke mine a few years back. And it ain’t good. In fact it’s bloody yakking agony for a bit. Great to see you and I think I can vouch that this book is good!! ALl love to you. xxx
Thank you dear Shey. I’m so sorry to hear you have experienced this incredible pain. A good book could help get my mind off it. This book looks like a winner. Thank you so much 😊 xxxxxxxxx
You know it was one of my first little ventures out to do some gardening having been recovering from pneumonia and flu and I was doing my usual bush cutting where I wedge an end of the loppers against the bottom of my ribs and I yank the handle in. Well, shall we just say I’ve not done it since? It is pretty awful actually. And there’s not much you can do except sit it out. So xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
“Wolfe Manor” sounds fascinating and the “Dudes” are hilarious (as always), Shehanne! 😂 With their Russian hats, they look august in August… 🙂
The best of luck to Adele Marie Park with her book!
Dave, thank you xxxxxxx The dudes were needing taken in about as always. But they do have this thing re wolves. Mind you what do they not have a thing about.
Ha, Shehanne! 🙂 I guess “Dances With Wolves” are not among their favorite movies… 🙂
…IS not among their favorite movies…
You might say!!!
😂
👌👌👌 perfect job
Aw thank you. Glad you liked Adele’s post.
You had me at “No but there is plenty of tea drunk.” This sounds like a marvelous partnership between writer and publishing. Heading over to Amazon.ca now.
Aw hugs Rebecca. She worked really hard on this book xxxxxxxx
Sounds like Ms. Adele and Black Wolf books have made some magic here. A little disappointed about the vodka, but they are school-aged, eh? Congrats on the book and best of luck with it to both of you!
Oh I dunno Pam, I reckon a school for under agers could be something else… SOrry, just being bad. Great to see you. xxxx
If things keep going the way they are, Shey, you never know…😂😂😂
Lol.. you got a point there sistah xxxxx
I very much like your “Wolfe Manor” and the hope that our cats and dogs will keep us somehow safe in this crazy and funny world of changes and hamsters, of course!:) Many thanks Shehanne!
Glad you liked, Martina. Adele did well with this book and also relating it to herself. And yes the world is just..well… xxxxxxx

Another wonderful feature, Shey! This is a very intriguing story and the energy of this presentation is delicious. Very nice to meet Adele Marie Park, big congratulations on your book! 🐺
Aw hugs Ka, big ones. Hope you’ve had a good week. I think Adele.s done brill out here talking about personal ‘demons’ and you know I can vouch for how hard she worked to get this book right, despite all that. .

I was by a bit ago, from my other blog, and like this post.
However, I didn’t have time to comment.
My brain was addled by watching hours and hours and hours of EMMY nominated shows,(screen in screen) before I could honestly vote.
Voting is now over, and I came back to say this sounds like an interesting book.
It could have been based on my sister!
Shey you have a way of making these posts a lot of fun.
Adele, you sound delightful, and I commend your liking of the Hamsteers!
They vill eat piple up mit de gingerbread, iv they don’t admeer them.
I luv the hamsteers, and will now do Cossack dance, mit out vodka! xo
Great to see you. i saw you had been up the pole watching shows and I know you don’t cast your votes lightly in terms of honesty. So glad you liked the post and the dudes made you smile. I think the dudes liked Adele. It maybe took abut mo but she won them round x.
Thank you, Shey!
It was a bit dizzying, but I did vote honestly! Thank you for knowing that. It means a lot to me.
I’m a bit exhausted from all the Cossack dancing… so did I understand right? You are Adele’s publisher? xx
Lol, indeed I am. I am the one who drove her to drink copious cups of tea!! xxx I do know you vote honestly i saw it on your blog but I also remember you told me once before about that and how time consuming it was but you wanted to vote properly.
Afterr ze long hourssss votching Emmy nomeenated shows… crack open ze vodka and imbibe. Then dance.
Love Dude Vlad.
Hi Shay It is lovely to see Adele here. I have read a few of her short stories and they have been very good. Wolfe Manor sounds great.
It was great to have Adele her. And she worked hard on this book. It’s also a good premise.

The dudes got a good chuckle out of me, Shey, but I’m so glad Adele got a word in edgewise and was able to share more about the origins of her latest book. Ha ha. Like the dudes, I was impressed. Congrats to Adele and many wishes for her success.
Adels just kept going and quite honestly??? That is the way to deal with the dudes. Eventually they shut up. Lovely to see you x
Lol. They were pretty hysterical.
They don’t like wolves, that is the truth. That was a nice fairy tale blog you had. i recognised many of the illustrations too.
