Here’s what you do for the #GirlLove Challenge:
- Tell your followers who inspires you, a famous woman who may be dealing with negativity on a daily basis.
- Tell your followers who inspires you in real life, a woman you always interact with.
- Tag five women bloggers who you love. Compliment them and tell them why you love them, and comment under their latest post with the link to your #GirlLove post!
Okay… A FAMOUS lady who inspires me who may be dealing with negativity on a daily basis. HMMM. I can certainly think of one. Her name is Silv
You know she takes all sorts of complaints from everyone. BUT despite that she persists in wearing a witches hat with purple veils attached, giving writing tips AND fighting for world domination by hamsters, often complaining about world famous poets and writers because they don’t. In fact Silv complains and whinges about everything and anything but doesn’t that just make her like the rest of us?
What is more Silv is famous here. Now then a woman I always interact with on a daily basis? Well, let’s face it Silv may only be a hamster but the times I’ve been inspired to lock her up and shut her up are many…. You know I think. … ………………..
And I really would not want those I know who do inspire me, or indeed my heroines rowing amongst themselves. A fight between Fury and Malice for example would not be a good idea….
Now, lastly, well, lastly after thanking the lovely and amazing Inese for thinking of me. Five LADY bloggers who inspire me…? Goodness,
this is hard, all the blogs I follow are amazing blogs. But I have to narrow this right? And Inese has already been picked. So..I really think……
1 Catherine Cavendish. http://www.catherinecavendish.com/
She’s had her unfair share of things to deal with lately but she keeps right out there, working without a single complaint, her chin always up. She’s an amazing, talented lady who has always been kind to me and her grace in the face of so much is an inspiration.
2 Noelle Clark. How did you guess? She’s another writer who is so much more than that to me. Noelle inspires me because she often emails going I need a shoulder to cry on. The fact is she doesn’t. She deals with so much for her family it’s unreal. I love my family so anyone who is always right there for theirs is an inspiration. http://www.noelleclark.net/about.html
3 Debby Kaye. Again Debby has had her share, growing up in a broken home, she’s fought battles galore. I love her. You hamstah dudes do too, although you know you secretly love Noelle and Catherine.
She is always so sassy and positive, unafraid to write of her struggles in a good way. I have to admire that.
4 Aquileana inspires me because she’s a class act. She writes amazing blogs on mythology. Real visual treats, meticulously researched. But she’s a wonderful poet who encourages others, in fact I’d say she encourages everyone she meets. That is saying something when you see how popular her blog is.

5 If you haven’t visited the lovely Doda, please do. https://dodagrivas.wordpress.com/ I know straight off she will say I can’t accept this, let’s leave this to the professionals and that’s okay. But Doda writes beautiful blogs on Greece, on peace and love. She calls her blog ‘her’ Space in the Immense Universe and it is a space I’m glad she occupies. She is so friendly and encouraging behind the scenes AND loves Scotland. AND hamsters.

Great advice once again from the hamsters! One small problem: if I try to lick the manuscript into shape, I will be tempted to eat it, which would be breaking rule number one 😀
shehannemoore said:
Now… I wrote a heroine who was obsessed with rules. But the hero broke them and so did she eventually so I think as she said, some rules are made to be broken. SO BREAK ….Just do not get indigestion xxxxxxx Lovely to see you Carole x
Carolee Croft said:
Thanks, it’s good to see you too, Shehanne. That story sounds like Lady Fury! Looking forward to reading it – I’ve added it to my wish list.
One thing I’m sure I will never eat is a hamster made of bread. They are too cute!

Yeah. Can’t’ count, cant’ spell, can’t write. Not a lot going for him but hey. It’s a great thing to live in hope. Lovely to see you my friend and all the very best for the weekend. xxxxx
jeanleesworld said:
Sometimes, when I’ve only got a handful of words, I think I’m better off eating them instead of trying to build with them, only they taste like turnips. Gah, I need words as tasty as hamster bread…
shehannemoore said:
The bread is funny eh??? I had forgotten they did this post. George Orwell has a book in which he is a writer, Keep the Aspidistra Flying, a writer with writer’s rewrite probs you know where he just can’t leave a bit alone, he has to perfect it. Anyway he has a great bit I have never forgotten about how he started out the day with x amount of words and ended with Y (I can’t remember the amounts ) but basically Y was a fraction of x cos he rewrote himself out of these words but this wa snot perfection cutting, like the bit was better with the cuts. I do think that is true. That is why I never reread anything as I am writing or I would have no words at all. Unless the focus in wrong. If a story focus is wrong then I will down the pen and go back. xxxxx
jeanleesworld said:
Oh yes. It’s one thing to putz about with a blog post, or something like an essay. Even nonfic/memoir stuff can, I think, warrant some on-the-spot rewriting. But Fiction is different. You write until the characters are ready to take the wheel, and then you hold on for dear life. When they’re done driving, you can finally dare to turn around and see how many crones they ran over. 😉
shehannemoore said:
Oh they piled up a cemetery load in this present WIP. Got a feeling they ain’t done yet either. xxxxxxx
cath said:
Beautifully demonstrated, Shey – I might say it’s show rather than tell.
I’m fascinated by the hamster bread. What a thought for a sandwich.
shehannemoore said:
Gosh i had forgotten this one ANd the bread. yeah I found that and it was for real too. I just would NOT want it for a sandwich. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx for coming by and your kind words. xxxx
